TUESDAY NIGHT TEXTILERS (TNT) 7pm-9pm
Join us on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm as we natter over knitting or chat over crochet – or do you fancy a bit of felting? Weaving, spinning – it’s all happening.
Forgotten how to read a pattern? What’s the difference between yarn over and double crochet? I’d like to use my mother’s spinning wheel – can you help? How do you weave? What is felting? Where can I get supplies, information, tuition? Can I just sit and knit…or crochet…or bring my needlework? Absolutely!
The Guild offers a quiet and friendly atmosphere at The Textile Arts Centre, 25 Poronui Street, Mt Eden for these weekly gatherings. They are also free and you even get a cuppa!
All welcome – but for non-Guild members a small donation is appreciated.
Tuesday Night Textilers resumes on 28 January 2020.
New weekend groups
This year sees two new weekend groups starting for people who work weekdays.
Sunday Spinners – study group: 1st Sunday in the month 9:30am-12:30pm at the Guild rooms.
Improve your hand spinning, share knowledge and resources and experiment with new techniques exploring a different theme each month.
Weekend Weavers: 4th Sunday in the month 9:30am-12:30pm at the Guild rooms.
Bring your table/shaft/rigid heddle/inkle or pin loom for a morning of weaving. Use our extensive magazine and book library to plan your next project and dive into our yarn room stash.
See here for information about the location of the Guild premises.
