About Us

Now that Auckland has moved to covid-19 alert level 1, Handweavers & Spinners Guild meetings and activities are back to normal but we still encourage you to use the QR code or manual register to record visits to the Guild rooms and to maintain hand hygiene and other measures to help keep covid-19 eliminated. And of course, please stay home if you are unwell.

Summer “spring clean” at the Guild rooms

The Guild rooms are looking a bit grungy and we thought it would be good to get together to remove mould from the walls of the main room and the bathrooms. And clean up anything else that takes your fancy!

Everyone is welcome! Don’t worry if you can’t climb ladders or clean high places. Maybe there’s a cupboard or a corner you’ve been itching to tidy – now’s your chance!

Or if you just want to sit, craft and chat, then just come anyway.

Please bring rubber gloves and old rags if you have them.
The committee will provide cleaning products and snacks.

Date: Saturday 23 January 2021
Time: 10am

Summer twilight pop-in crafting sessions

We’re planning some twilight pop-in sessions at the Guild rooms in late January/February.

These will be informal, social gatherings similar to Tuesday night TNT sessions where Guild members share skills and techniques and socialise. Details of these sessions will be available here in the New Year.
